To refresh your memory - or introduce the concept - I am going to explain what a Dashboard is and its importance. Then we will take a look at a simple example that will help you understand the concept better


When referring to the Dashboard in regards to marketing, we reference the part of an application that allows you to manage all possible data relevant to that platform. It is a tool that allows you to centralize all the KPIs that you identified as crucial to understanding in order to have control of your business.


For example, in digital marketing, when we are launching campaigns directed to a web page, we need to understand the whole picture of what is happening within our campaigns. Things like:
  • How many people do we impact with our campaigns
  • People who subsequently interact/click
  • The people who visit later on
  • The people who convert 
  • Etc.
With all these characteristics synthesized in a scorecard, we can get an idea of how our campaigns are performing and identify points for improvement.
