To refresh your memory - or introduce the concept - I am going to explain what upselling is and it’s importance. Then we will take a look at a simple example that will help you understand the concept better


Upselling is a marketing technique that tries to get the customer to buy a product with a higher price (and quality) compared to the one they are already buying.


Offer our new customers a series of premium services, which will have a certain duration as long as they end up paying for them when the offer ends. Premium services will vary depending on the customer’s profile. For example, on streaming platforms such as Netflix and HBO, many times they offer you access to premium content for a certain time (to be able to see it in 4K, high definition). This is done in order for you to get used to the product or service and instead of paying the basic fee, pay the premium once the promotion has expired.
