01 / 02 Methodology · Auditable KPIs

A verifiable case study, not a decorative portfolio.

A verifiable B2B digital marketing case study is public documentation (identified client, specific period, auditable metrics) of an intervention that moved a business KPI (not a vanity one). At cronuts.digital we only publish cases with the client's authorisation, a metric connected to their own CRM or GA4 and a delta attributable via server-side tracking. No "client X". No projections. No extrapolations.

What separates it from a decorative portfolio is the measurement methodology: server-side tracking that withstands ad-blockers and consent mode, revenue tracking connected to the CRM (Holded, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive), multi-touch attribution with a window that matches the B2B cycle (30–90 days) and a clear split between lead, MQL, SQL and closed deal.

The KPIs we measure in every B2B case

Declared cohort · auditable source · attribution window that matches the sales cycle.

06 dimensions measured

  1. Attributed pipeline

Value in € of the opportunities created and attributed to the channel or campaign, read from the CRM, not from the form.

  2. CAC · Customer acquisition cost

Total marketing and sales spend divided by the new customers closed in the period, with a declared cohort.

  3. MQL → SQL ratio

Marketing-qualified leads that sales accepts as a real opportunity. A gauge of demand quality.

  4. Time-to-deal

Days between the first attributed touchpoint and contract signature. Shows focus on the right accounts vs. mass trafficking.

  5. NRR · Net Revenue Retention

Revenue retained and expanded in existing accounts over 12 months. Separates tactical marketing from a sustainable business lever.

  6. Declared attribution

Every metric with its source: CRM, server-side GA4, source platform. No stray Looker screenshots.

If your agency does not deliver these KPIs every month with a clear definition and an auditable source, you are not measuring case studies: you are collecting screenshots.

03 / 03 FAQ · B2B case studies

Frequently asked questions about our cases.

  1. How do you measure a B2B digital marketing case study?
Every case carries server-side tracking connected to the client's CRM (Holded, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive). We measure attributed pipeline in €, CAC by cohort, MQL→SQL ratio, time-to-deal and NRR. The client can audit the metrics: no stray Looker screenshots.
  2. Which case studies do you publish and which do you not?
We only publish cases with the client's written authorisation and metrics that can be audited in their own system. Roughly 60% of our clients opt for a full NDA: we only share those cases under a confidentiality agreement in an advanced sales process.
  3. How do you handle confidential client data?
We sign a mutual NDA before kick-off. Cases under NDA are anonymised with the client's permission: sector, size and numerical delta, with no name, no domain and no identifiable ranges. Any mention requires written approval.
  4. How can I verify that the case data is real?
Every published case includes the client's name, sector, period and a link to the client's website. For serious sales processes we provide a direct reference with the decision-maker, anonymised CRM screenshots and, where applicable, a 30-min session with the current client.
  5. What separates a real case study from a decorative portfolio?
An identified client, a specific period, a business KPI (not a vanity one), an auditable data source and a declared attribution method. If any one of these five elements is missing, it is not a case study: it is an ad for the agency itself.
  6. How do I put my company forward as the next case?
Request a free audit. If the ICP fits (B2B 500K€–100M€), we start a Sprint 0 with KPIs declared from the kick-off. Your case is only published if you want it to be and the results are in your CRM, not in a picture we painted.
